Brody is suffering from Old Folk's Disease.
Don't know what that is? Well, let me tell you. Ever notice how old people like to get up really early, even when there's not a reason? That's Old Folk's Disease. Ask my Dad. He'll tell you... probably at 6:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning when there is no reason to be out of bed yet.
It doesn't help that up here in the Pacific NW, the sun rises around 5:15 a.m. this time of year, and wouldn't you know, all of our windows are east-facing. Even with a blackout curtain, Brody's room is light by 6:30 a.m. In the last month or so, he's decided to give up sleeping in until 8:30 a.m. and gets up when his room gets light. Not only does this mean my amount of sleep has been cut by 2 hours, it also means I have to suffer through "The Wiggles" and "Higglytown Heroes" on Playhouse Disney.
Lovely.
